The Dietary Guidelines are an educational tool that adapts scientific knowledge about nutritional requirements and food composition in a practical tool that guides the population for the correct selection and consumption of food. Through 10 main messages accompanied by secondary messages and a graph that synthesizes the information, it seeks to encourage a better profile of food consumption, improving habits and promoting the population’s health.
The result of all this work process are the 10 main food messages, each accompanied by secondary messages that expand and complement the main information and a graphic proposal that represents and integrates the nutritional messages.
INCORPORATE DAILY FOOD OF ALL GROUPS AND TO DO AT LEAST 30 MINUTES OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
CONSUME DAILY 5 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES IN VARIETY OF TYPES AND COLORS
REDUCE THE USE OF SALT AND FOOD CONSUMPTION WITH HIGH SODIUM CONTENT
WHEN YOU EAT MEAT, REMOVE THE VISIBLE FAT, INCREASE FISH CONSUMPTION AND INCLUDE EGG
CONSUME RAW OIL AS A CONDIMENT,
DRY FRUITS OR SEEDS
TAKE DAILY 8 GLASSES OF SAFE WATER
REDUCE THE USE OF SALT AND FOOD CONSUMPTION WITH HIGH SODIUM CONTENT
TO CONSUME DAILY MILK, YOGURT OR CHEESE, PREFERABLY LOW FAT
CONSUME VEGETABLES, CEREALS PREFERENTIALLY INTEGRAL, POTATO, SWEET POTATO, CORN OR CASSAVA
THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE. CHILDREN, TEENAGERS AND PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD NOT CONSUME THEM. AVOID THEM ALWAYS WHEN DRIVING
